Ce court dessin animé est sélectif, subjectif et se concentre surtout sur les épisodes les plus violents de l'histoire de ce jeune pays. Il n'en demeure pas moins instructif car il brosse à grands traits les grandes étapes de la construction des USA: arrivée des Pères Pèlerins au 17ème siècle, la guerre d'indépendance contre la couronne britannique dans les années 1770 et 1780, guerre de sécession entre états du nord et du sud, de 1861 à 1865, qui se conclut par l'abolition de l'esclavage, entrée en guerre des USA en 1941 suite aux attaques de Pearl Harbour, le mouvement des droits civiques dans les années 50 et 60 (l'étincelle Rosa Parks et le flamboiement Martin Luther King, Jr.)
