Barack Obama's Victory Speech

Cliquer sur le titre pour visionner la vidéo du discours du nouveau président américain, celle-ci est accompagnée de sa transcription.

Long live America!

Now, here is a link to President Obama's Inauguration on January 20th, 2009.
I include a transcript of the video:
I came to share with millions the hope that President Obama is bringing to us.

I Barack Hussein Obama do solemly swear that I’ll execute faithfully the office of the United States and will to the best of my ability preserve, protect and defend the constitution of the United States. So help me God !

Since I can’t be on that mall because of the millions of people who are there, I want to be here at the Lincoln memorial on the actual spot where Martin Luther King Junior gave his ” I have a dream” speech. Makes me feel I’m here.

My fellow citizens, I stand here today humbled by the task before us, grateful for the trust you bestowed, mindful for the sacrifices borne by our ancestors.

We went to hear Doctor King’s ‘I have a dream ‘ speech. There were hundreds of thousands of people there at that 1963 march on Washington. This inauguration lets me know that in America , yes, everything is possible.

Will it be said by our children’s children that when we were tested we refused to let that jouney end, that we did not turn back nor did we falter and with eyes fixed on the horizon we carried forth that great gift of freedom and delivered it safely to future generations. Thank you. God bless you and God bless the United States of America.
